The Opportunity
RodeoCPG is seeking a Director of Client Strategy & Sales to engage in both client management and retail sales execution across key East Coast accounts. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of client success, strategic advisory, and hands-on selling.
Key Responsibilities
Client Strategy & Relationship Management
Serve as primary point of contact for client brands
Develop and advise on strategic sales plans (pricing, promo, assortment, trade spend)
Lead ongoing client communication and alignment
Translate data into actionable insights
Deliver best-in-class client experience
Retail Sales & Development
Maintain relationships with key East Coast retailers and distributors
Own full sales cycle from prospecting to shelf placement
Drive distribution, shelf placement, and promotional programs
Identify new retail opportunities
Sales Execution & Performance
Execute revenue and distribution goals
Analyze retail/distributor data
Track performance in internal tools (e.g., SnoBase)
Evaluate ROI on placements and promotions
Cross-Functional Leadership
Collaborate with internal teams across sales, data, and leadership
Share insights to inform broader strategy
Qualifications
7+ years in CPG sales, account management, or brokerage
Strong East Coast retail experience; experience and relationships with Publix preferred
Proven track record of growth and distribution expansion
Existing buyer relationships preferred
Comfort with traveling 15-25% of the year, as needed
Strong analytical and communication skills
Preferred Experience
CPG brand or brokerage background
Natural channel experience (UNFI, KeHE, etc.)
High-growth brand experience
